There are many things to do at Moraine State Park during all seasons of the year.  During the summer there is picnicking, horseback riding, bird-watching, swimming, fishing, boating, and windsurfing.  During the fall, hunting is permitted in parts of the park.  During the winter, visitors can go ice skating, cross-country skiing, ice boating, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and sledding.  The Lake Arthur Regatta is also held every summer.  Camping is available during every season. 
          Visitors are allowed to swim at two beaches along Lake Arthur: Pleasant Valley Beach on the South Shore, and Lakeview Beach on the North Shore.  Lake Arthur is a warm water fishery.  There are ten boat launching areas along the lake.
          There are many interesting interpretive programs offered at Moraine State Park.  These include hands-on activities, guided walks and campfire programs, and pontoon boat tours of the lake.  These programs are only offered during the summer months.
          In 1977 the National Boy Scout Jamboree was held here, and in 1973 the eastern encampment of the National Boy Scout Jamboree was held here.  Alexander’s Ridge, which is largest remaining forest ecosystem in Butler County and most of the upper watershed for an important tributary of Muddy Creek.  There are seven pavilions, four of which are handicap equipped.  There are 28.6 miles of trails to hike.  Some of the trails are Hilltop Trail, Sunken Garden Trail, Pleasant Valley Trail, Wyggeston Trail, Glacier Ridge Trail (the longest trail in the park), and Five Points Trail.
